fundraising

Whilst we work on improvements to the entire Gua website we have set up a sister website solely focused on fundraising for Gua Africa.

Here you will be able to find all the information you will need to begin fundraising and helping Southern Sudanese students get the education they deserve.

Find inspiration by finding out what our dedicated community of supporters get up to whilst helping raise funds for our projects.

Fundraise
  • Albert Jennings

    A big thank you to...

Albert Jennings from Geelong, Australia who recently celebrated his 80th birthday and decided he did not want to receive gifts, but rather suggested friends and family provide a donation to Gua Africa. He wanted a charity that made a difference for children and saw a donation to the Emma Academy a way to make a real difference to children who do not have an opportunity to go to school. Party goers were taken aback by some of the statistics that affect those living in South Sudan, especially that girls in South Sudan have more chance of dying in childbirth than completing primary school. They raised over $600 for Gua Africa, and helped Albert enjoy this wonderful milestone.

  • Katie Piper

    A big thank you to...

Katie Piper (pictured above right) and her colleagues at a hospital in Melbourne, Australia organised an evening raffle during the holiday season. They raised $600 and we thank everyone involved for their efforts!

  • Cheltenham Woodcraft Folk

    A big thank you to...

In December Cheltenham Woodcraft Folk held their annual "Charity Bring and Buy" sale, where children bring toys etc., which are sold to raise money for a charity of the children's choosing. We're very grateful that this year the children chose GUA Africa to receive their international donation. A big thank you goes to all involved!

  • Laura Pictor

    A big thank you to...

Laura Pictor gave up her car for the whole of November to show her support for Emmanuel Jal’s Lose to Win Challenge. Laura raised £258 and we are very appreciative of her commitment to fundraise for Gua Africa.

  • eBay for charity

    A big thank you to...

We would like to send out a thank you to Linda who raised money for Gua by selling some clothing & accessories via eBay. Through eBay Charity Selling we received a percentage of the total selling price.
