“My name is Damai Dak, and I am a civil Engineering student in Ndejje University Uganda, being supported by GUA Africa. I would like to thank GUA Africa for their generosity and thoughtfulness in regards to the support of my study in University. Your support for my education has had an impact upon me far beyond the obvious and measurable financial help. Hopefully when I finished my studies, I will go back to my country to build roads and also construct houses which have been destructed by civil war. I will be very happy to see my people living in stable houses and enjoying a good road network.
In receiving this help, I am touched not only by your generosity but also by our shared desire to give back to my beloved country and community which has been destroyed by war for several decades. I can't imagine where I would be now if it was not GUA Africa. GUA Africa has been supporting my education in university for the last two years after I finished my high school in Refugee camp and had no where to go. When GUA gave me a chance to proceed to University I came to believe the quote that "At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person". GUA Africa really lighted a flame with in me, so I have all the reason to say thanks to GUA and express my gratitude.”
