EDUCATE A CHILD: DEVELOP A NATION

Gua Africa provides educational programs for those affected by war and displacement in East Africa. We primarily work in Kenya offering education to refugees who have survived war and genocide.

Our Educational Programs

Should we have some text here, maybe with figures or stats e.g Gatwitch Hub is in it's third year and has X number of graduates or something along these lines.

How You Can Help

There are many different ways you can support Gua Africa’s work as an individual and a school or business; such as community fundraising, online shopping, and sponsoring a child.

Gua means ‘Walk in your purpose’

Pole pole means 'slowly' (in swahili)

At Gua Africa we have learned it is best to do this with a ‘pole pole’ approach to ensure our impact is efficient and sustainable. We work with those affected by conflict and persecution as well as their host communities and without careful collaboration, consistency and solidarity, partnerships can fail. Our aim is to move our beneficiaries from ‘surviving’ to ‘thriving’ and equip young people with the creativity, ambition, skills and independence to lead and contribute to their communities for the long-term; to walk ‘slowly but surely’’ in their purpose for better futures.

'You will never know the potential of any child unless that person is given an opportunity; and there is no bigger opportunity than the gift of education and self-development.'

– Founder, Former child soldier & Peace Activist.
